Scotty Mo explodes for 137 points on a week that was lower scoring league wide, besides him and Tank. Tyreak Hill and Derrick Henry lead the charge, but everyone on his team hit double digits except the kicker and defense. I lost Tank Dell in the onslaught, and had to watch Justin Herbert and DeAndre Swift be awful. A New Hope takes over the #1 seed in the league with an impossible to catch tie breaker. Scott is now the #1 seed, the #1 scoring team, and the #1 team with the least points scored against him. I’d bet he feels like a silly boy for ever bitching during the season! There is something very important and very concerning I’d like to point out, however. Our new #1 seed never cared to even change his profile picture to match his new team name. All season. He’s still rolling out a Happy Ending picture for A New Hope. Sure seems like the worst luck thing to do in fantasy, like ever!
Eric scored the 3rd most points in the league this week but got his ass whooped by The Urge to Purge 141-102. Evans, Pacheco, and LaPorta shine the brightest, but it was a total team effort to secure the win. Eric had monster games out of Collins and Nacua, but the rest of his team looked awful. It’s not what you want to see out of your team this close to the playoffs, but I’m certain Eric is not worried about it. Rim Riders drop to 2nd place for the first time I can remember this season, with an upcoming matchup against Chanpuonsgup to try and take back the #1 seed. Tank punches his ticket to the playoffs with the win, and remains the only player in the league to lose to Bradley, which isn’t pertinent to this situation but something I haven’t mentioned enough this season.
Dallas’ Bengals got it done for him, but man, was that a closer matchup than any of us anticipated. Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Mixon combine for an important 45 points on Monday Night to put Dallas in the best position to secure the final playoff spot. Dallas’ future is in his hands as he finishes out the regular season with a matchup against Ragen, a matchup that he lost in Week 3 earlier this year. If Dallas wins, he’s in, If Dallas loses and I win, but he outscores me by 9 points, he’s in (Dallas beat me in the regular season so he could tie our points scored total). If Dallas loses and AO wins, and AO outscores him by 34, Dallas is out. I have a 44 point tie breaker on AO, so if Dallas loses and we both win, he’d have to outscore me by 45 to jump ahead of me. Dallas and I both beat AO in the regular season so he can’t tie the season point totals, he’d have to beat them.
The Cocaine Bears win a massive playoff seeding matchup against OTT IS HIM in a close one, 88-79. Trevor Lawrence got the job done before rolling the shit out of his ankle. We all already know the fact that AO benched Watson right before Sunday’s games, and I feel for the man because that has to be one of the worst things in fantasy, making a swap right before the games in a playoff deciding or playoff matchup and it being absolutely the wrong call and costing you the matchup. DeVonta Smith and Raschaad White chip in nicely for the coked up bears, and this is the sixth game in a row White has hit double digits. Sneaky good production for the now #11 RB in fantasy. The Cocaine Bears move on to face No Safe Words, and OTT IS HIM gets his best shot at sneaking into the playoffs heading into his bye week with ApprovedChaos.
Mason continues his incredible season, and the man who drafted with 45F has now locked up himself a playoff spot. Absolutely incredible. Of course, Bradley has done something similar, but I have to tip my cap to Mason; great drafting, a little luck, solid team management and boom, a shot at the ship. Unloved Puppies takes down Emancipation Fornication 88-72 behind Dak and Kyren Williams, along with a nice 15 point kicker outing. Ragen had an explosive Deebo outing, and really nothing else. Mason goes head to head with Scott in Week 14 for a chance to jockey for playoff position, while Ragen has the most important job in the world as far as I’m concerned, beating Dallas so I can be in the playoffs.
Tightest matchup of the weekend goes to Nick vs Spencer, where Nick squeaks out the win 74-69 (Nice!). In the battle between Kirk and Ridley on MNF, neither did anything. Of course, neither of these players will be in the playoffs so I have nothing further to say on the matchup.
Final week of the regular season, one playoff spot up for grabs, can Dallas muster up some birthday week magic? Can I properly suck the fantasy gods’ dicks? They’re so fickle, I never know what they like. May the best man win.
Commish Out.
